During the time in the Yanome Prison, March was the only one to willingly take care of Oniguma, and was able to develope a close bond with it. When escaping the prison, Parona attempted to cut off a piece of Oniguma in order to convince the people of Ninannah that the Spirit Bear ritual was no longer necessary. March interfered as she felt sorry for the bear, stating that the bear itself was clueless about the ritual, and that it would be selfish to harm it. Later when Oniguma was resurrected, March was also seen taking care of the bear by removing the painful arrows from its flesh.
